Laurie Jordan is currently the Senior Director, Global Packaging Technology for Smith & Nephew, Inc., a global manufacturer of medical devices, including Orthopeadic implants, surgical devices for Sports Medicine, and Advanced Wound Management products. She has been in the medical device industry for 22 years, and holds a Certified Packaging Professional Lifetime (CPPL) certification from IoPP. She has held roles of increasing responsibility in Operations, Business Development, Global Labeling Systems, Packaging Design and Development, and Packaging Process Engineering. Laurie has a B.S in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, and a M.B.A. from the University of Mississippi with an emphasis in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management, and Management Information Systems. She resides in Memphis, TN with her husband Jamey and three sons.

Christie Larson brings over 20 years of expertise in medical device labeling, with a distinguished career spanning roles in management and engineering at Hollister Incorporated, Fresenius Kabi, Fenwal Inc., and Baxter Healthcare. Her extensive experience includes building Labeling and Packaging departments from the ground up, establishing new procedures, systems, and job descriptions, and managing large-scale labeling projects such as UDI compliance and multiple corporate branding transitions.

Christie holds a bachelor’s degree in Inventive Design Engineering from Purdue University and is a recognized innovator with multiple patents related to barcodes and RFID.  She is a Six Sigma Yellow belt and PMI certified Project Management Professional and Program Management Professional.

With over 16 years in the world of labeling and packaging, Frank has driven the implementation of labeling systems small and large. He currently maintains the global labeling system for CooperSurgical, a leading manufacturer of women’s health and fertility products based in Connecticut with manufacturing sites in the US, Costa Rica, and Europe. He has managed implementation and upgrade projects involving cross-functional teams in close coordination with software manufacturers and consultants.

Chris Heckert has been responsible for Medical Device Labeling for 33 years. Chris has led teams that have assessed dozens of labeling processes, created User Requirement Specifications for Global Labeling Systems, validated Labeling Systems with both the V-Model and Computer Software Assurance methodology, deployed dozens of Global Labeling Systems, identified and implemented process improvements like establishing roles and responsibilities, redefining how label specifications are managed, country-specific labeling, redefining label approval and development of the FALCON Label Analysis Tool.

Heading up a software company specializing in labeling and regulatory compliance since 1993, Ardi Batmanghelidj has amassed extensive hands-on experience in the Life Sciences industry. He has continuously shared his expert guidance with the FDA and manufacturers in the areas of master data management, labeling, automated print inspection and barcoding. Ardi is presently contributing to the Advamed steering committee for EUDAMED machine to machine communications. Ardi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts. He has additional IT certifications from the Computer Processing Institute, Boston.
